Larrea teaches hatha yoga, which she describes as a basic sequence of poses that flow together and prepare the body for future poses in the class. Worried about leaving your snoopy cousin at home while you take some time out? Larrea says to bring everyone along: The class is meant for all skill levels, so even someone new to the practice will be able to keep up and follow along. "It seems that families are notorious for being challenging," she laughs. "On Thanksgiving Day, I hope that people get an opportunity to feel their heart and open it up and just kind of share a little bit of that with the people they're with."
The class runs today from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Whole Yoga, 1735 East 17th Avenue. The drop-in rate is $12, payable with cash or check. For more information, visit www.wholeyoga.com.
