Rockie

Censored
Self-released

On Censored, Rockie's latest release, he's most impressive on tracks with production from Team Green Productions — cuts like "Return of the King," a standout joint that finds Rockie spitting chest-beating lyrics and expressing a hometown loyalty. But he's in top form throughout, transitioning easily from wall-thumping, bass-driven club tracks like "Don't Stop" to more thoughtful, earnest songs like "Stars," which features the incomparable vocals of Devan Blake Jones. On the Adam Duncan-assisted "Game," he details the perils and pitfalls of the music industry, all while professing that's he's more dedicated to making it than ever. Overall, Censored is filled with playful lyrics ("If you want me for life, get a tattoo") and memorable hooks that make this one of Rockie's most creative joints to date.
