Action Figure

It takes longer for most people to argue over their favorite parts of the original Star Wars trilogy than it takes Charlie Ross to just act them all out. The force has been with him since 2002, and the actor and comedian has visited four continents and more than 180 cities while fine-tuning a show that covers all the territory and almost all of the characters in seventy minutes flat. We imagine he drinks a lot of water afterward.

To be entirely clear, Ross singlehandedly performs all of the plot twists, voices and sound effects in a performance aptly called One-Man Star Wars Trilogy. (Imagine doing this more than 1,200 times -- his latest total.) Perhaps the best part is his refusal to clarify in the title which specific trilogy he is covering -- a geek-culture nod to the fact that there is really only one worth watching.

And if he ever decided to take on the second trilogy, it would be far in the future. "For now, One-Man Star Wars resides in Geek Heaven," Ross writes on his website. "And there's no better place to be."

Ross will take the stage today and tomorrow at 8 p.m. at the Lone Tree Arts Center, 10075 Commons Street in Lone Tree; tickets range from $30 to $40. For more information, call 303-708-1818 or visit www.lonetreeartscenter.org.
