Dog Days of Spring
Spring is in the air, and while humans hit the tanning salons and browse the swimwear aisles at local stores, canines can get in on the action at the Doggie Swimsuit Fashion Event, which takes place today in Westminster at the Unleashed by Petco store.

"We got a bunch of doggie swimsuits in, and it's not something that people typically think about," notes Unleashed's Aria Cardinale, "so we wanted to have a day where people could bring their dogs in and we'll set up a little runway. Dogs can try on the swimsuits and then walk down the runway."
Most of the swimsuits are for dogs of the female persuasion, she notes, in some vintage '50s styles as well as more modern suits popping with spring color.
