Gildar finds it interesting in particular because it represents a lesser-known branch of the punk movement that seems to have been forgotten or overshadowed by what was happening simultaneously in London and New York: "It does make you think: What was the punk aesthetic? Certainly it was more varied than the stereotypes convey, more of an attitude than an actual adherence to a fashion code or look."
