The Yuk Stops Here

It's easy to poke fun at the differences between Denver and Boulder, but for many people living with disabilities, the distance between the Capitol and the Flatirons -- and the hassle of traveling between the two towns -- is no joke. Tonight, PHAMALY takes the laughs on the road with disLabled, the company's first Boulder production in its 23-year history.

More About

The original sketch-comedy show features an all-Boulder cast that will riff on the humor and humanity of physical and emotional challenges. "Boulder and its denizens have a somewhat unique perspective on life in general, to say nothing of disability issues," says Jeremy Palmer, who directs the show with Mathew Klickstein. "Some might say that's just a cliche about Boulder, but sometimes embracing cliches leads to the best comedy. This is a cast of actors with an extremely funny and good-natured perspective. That's where the comedy comes in."

Collectively written by the cast and directors, disLabled opens at 7:30 p.m. tonight and runs through April 15 at the Dairy Center for the Performing Arts, 2590 Walnut Street in Boulder. Tickets are $20; call 303-444-7328 or visit www.phamaly.org for more information.
April 13-14, 7:30 p.m.; Sun., April 15, noon, 2012
