That's done and gone.

In Arizona, thousands have taken to the street in protest against SB 1070. Abuelas are joined by kids without papers. Together they commit civil disobedience and force arrests.

The Supreme Court doesn't grasp that its decision is not the final word on the subject.

Media everywhere erupted with the recent news that whites now account for a minority of births in America for the first time. Latinos have the highest fertility rate and are already the largest minority.

"If [reform] doesn't happen as part of a revolution," says Alonzo, "the sheer numbers will eventually force change."

See that little roly-poly, hija rock 'n' rolly, wearing pull-ups, sporting earrings and sitting on her mama's lap?

She is your future.

Hasn't gone far enough with the illegals. If you are any race and are here legally, then great! If the tables were turned and it was white americans fleeing to mexico, you bet they will be racially profiled. Thats just the way it is.

Officers check identification on everyone they come in contact with. If you are a U.S. citizen and have a drivers license or identification card issued to you it should not be a problem. For those who are here illegally, they will not be able to produce a U.S. identification or drivers license and then the questioning on their status will begin. Color does not matter, no I.D. means more questioning...

I disagree that SB 1070 is, at its core, based on race. Rather, as the Phoenix New Times reported, its about the big money that can be made by private prisons that will become necessary when, and if, the entirety of SB 1070 is upheld by SCOTUS. Many more detention centers will be needed when Arizona LE starts enforcing state immigration laws and arresting and detain people. Follow the paper trail as reported by New Times and it all becomes very clear.

Sadly this is true, Mexico isn't necessarily safe for the citizens. But allowing people to live here, under the redar, undocumented, will only cause this country to slowly edge it's way to that same unsafe existence. I'm not just imagining this, it has happened in country after country all throughout history anytime citizenship laws have gone unenforced. Whether we like it or not, the law must come first. Our Founding Fathers knew that, which is why they wrote new laws for the Revolution to live by before they discarded England's laws. So, Miss Garcia, please don't preach about the unsafety they are fleeing and expect me to feel like allowing it to spread here with their disregard of simple laws like citizenship. Duh if you are here undocumented, then you are illegal, sooner or later you get caught, Citizens have rights, don't rub the law in our face if you are here illegally Because in my book you break our law, you have very limited rights. You do the crime you do the time or suffer consequences you initiated, or in this case deportation, color or race is not the subject here, even though people may want to try and make it so, just to say, its Racial profiling, Wake up and smell the Law, so why bother fighting the LAW, that's put in place to protect our USA way of life and or our constitution. Come on really racial profiling, BS Get a clue,

Your argument doesn't hold up to the morality and righteousness standards you mention. Did they enter the country illegally? Perhaps some, but not all have done so. Those that did broke the law. However, if you had a family depending on you for the most basic needs, what wouldn't you do for them? Would you venture to another country where you are belittled, hated, mistreated and underpaid, all in the name of earning an honest living? Yes. I was lucky to have entered this country legally, via a permanent residency. Still, when my family moved out here, they did so out of necessity, not choice. We all work and thankfully have all been able to go to school, and obtain college degrees. Each one of us has worked full time and studied full time, unlike my white trust fund baby counterparts. "They" typically also work under false social security numbers, pay taxes but don’t reap benefits. They can't file unemployment, they can't go on disability, and they can't get their annual tax return. They are contributing to a retirement fund that they will never see. Additionally, according to the AFDC, these are the welfare recipients broken down by race: -White 38.8% -Black 39.8 -Hispanic 15.7 -Asian 2.4 -other 3.3 So if sound arguments don't work with your logic, look at these numbers. Now I ask you, who gets the most welfare assistance?

They disobeyed the law.The laws are clearly written. They were here illegally, they had there children here illegally. We pay for it. Food stamps, medicaid, education, etc. There is an immigration process they can do,get a ssn and pay taxes to provide these services.

I'll gladly pay more for my produce if it means not lining the pockets of greedy farmers who exploit our wages using modern slave labor. Those same farmers don't health screen their employers to save even more money for themselves. The consumer doesn't reap any of these benefits except maybe slightly cheaper produce and maybe a little e-coli...

Um, okay DMO. I can tell you that a lot of people I know don't think they are too good to do that work and gee, they are white. I myself worked for a cleaning biz and cleaned huge houses off of Boulder Canyon Road.

I only see able-bodied white guys begging on street corners in Boulder. Latinos are too busy busting their butts, doing work we white people think is beneath us.

Growing up, I was taught that you always carry your license so that you could identify yourself to any officer who asked. It was the law there. I have had to legally identify myself EVERY year I can remember (more than 30). So if “white male” has to, why doesn’t everyone have to?

How much do we want to pay for a head of lettuce? Of course the federal government does not want to know who is here illegally, because they know the financial consequences - particularly for food prices. It is catch 22, farm labor is the only labor that is paid lower than minimum wage with a counter measure (like tips), so that is hte work commonly done by illegal immigrants. But, if we change the farm rules, or deport allthe illegals, food prices sky rocket. Seen "Day without a Mexican"? The pink cloud is here and it smacks of vigilante "justice". None the less, if citizen proof is needed by latinos, it should be required for everyone. Latinos are not the only illegal immigrants!
