In response to Jocole420 and AKM above, I love the Gold Hill Inn and have been many times; I used to live just down the road and, even since moving away, make the trip back up at least once a year because it's such a great ambiance. That said, I agree with Laura's review of the food - it's cheap for a reason. The quality is variable, but often pretty poor and no effort has been made to update or improve the menu over several years. If you're going up there expecting a dinner on par with what you can get elsewhere in the Boulder area, you're going to be sorely disappointed. But as she points out, that's not why you go - you go to enjoy the place, to drink in a bar that's been around for over a hundred years, to imagine yourself interacting with the miners and hardscrabble types that doubtlessly hung out there in the late 1800s.
