Kid Vegas

The Resume
Self-released

Between opener "Tuna Roll," in which he espouses how raw his rhymes are (not the only sushi reference here, by the way), and "Eat," where the rapper notes that he's a beast with an appetite for rappers, Kid Vegas goes a little heavy on the food metaphors on The Resume. Elsewhere, the joint is chock-full of super sex anthems, especially cuts like "Be On Call," which finds Kid making a veiled reference to the size of his manhood. His flow is unique and convincing, and his young rap bravado is well placed throughout. Although he falls short on "Charlie Sheen," using an outdated reference to "winning," he comes on strong on "Get the Right One," the album's standout track, and the Andre Fabre-assisted "Slow Down." Kid Vegas's Resume is plenty impressive.
