Scooter kids from all over Colorado and out of state will unite tonight for Mile High Mayhem 15: Quinceañera, celebrating fifteen summers of rides, shows and two-wheeled camaraderie. This year’s three-day party begins with dinner at Casa Bonita, followed by a progressive group ride down Colfax Avenue as scooter clubs like the Secret Cervix, Jedi Knights, Misfit Toys and more join in at each stop. The city’s infamously sketchy strip is a focus of this year’s rally.

“We wanted to bring out that kind of heritage of Denver and Colfax for the Friday-night ride,” says Matt Megyesi, co-organizer of the annual rally, which attracts the owners of vintage Italian, Spanish and Indian motor scooters.

Highlights include a gas-money prize for whoever traveled the farthest by scooter to attend the rally; a special offer from Lifetime Tattoo for Mile High Mayhem 15 tattoos all day Friday; and a pre-rally Thursday warm-up night ride kicking off at GB Fish and Chips, 5325 East Colfax Avenue. In addition, Genuine Scooter Company will be raffling off a Stella 2T 150cc scooter.

The ride begins at Casa Bonita, 6715 West Colfax, and ends at Tooey’s Off Colfax, 1521 Marion Street, where the Denver Vintage Reggae Society and the Sonic Archers will play for 21-and-up scooter enthusiasts.
