“The course itself makes it a unique and beautiful race, especially with the leaves changing,” says Ashlie Reynoso, events coordinator for the American Lung Association’s Colorado branch. Runners of all levels are encouraged to hit this three-mile trek in support of the American Lung Association. Music from Major Johnson, Gray Noise, Brothers of the Sun and more will entertain runners at different points in the course before they hit the amphitheater’s famous stairs for a climb to the finish. There, runners will be greeted with vendors and prizes to close out the race.
Registration starts at 8 a.m. in the Upper North Lot of Red Rocks, 18300 West Alameda Parkway in Morrison; fees are $35 for adults, $15 for kids twelve and under. Roads close at 9, and the race begins at 9:30. For more information, visit www.runtherocks.org.
