“I think what’s unique with us and what’s set the VeloSwap ahead of Craigslist or eBay or any of the deals sites out there is that people still enjoy sifting through piles to find the gem that is really going to make their day, and getting that experience of one-on-one negotiating to get a deal,” says VeloSwap manager Reese Brown. “There are lots of deals out there in the world if you’re a savvy consumer, but people seem to like the energy, the excitement, the crowds and the treasure-hunting at VeloSwap.”
In addition to the sale, there’s a big-wheel obstacle course for both kids and adults, as well as cycling clinics and other fun stuff. VeloSwap, on the second floor of the Expo Hall at the National Western Complex, 4655 Humboldt Street, is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $8 at the door or $6 in advance at veloswap.competitor.com.
