“If they want, they can wear gloves and scarves. I know a bunch of girls are wearing tights and leg warmers,” says organizer Christine Griesmer. “But ultimately, to have everyone in a Speedo would be ideal.”
Still not sure you should indulge the urge to strap on a banana hammock for the holidays? Just do it for the puppies: Proceeds go to the Life Is Better Rescue, which keeps animals from being killed in shelters.
Registration and check-in start at 12:30 p.m., with the run kicking off around 1, at Mead Street Station, 3625 West 32nd Avenue. Registration is $35 and includes a Santa hat, a pre-run Candy Cane shot, a post-run beer and food. Pre-register and find more info at www.santaspeedodash.com.
