More About

Tasters can enjoy samples of the traditional Hanukkah dish prepared in a variety of ways, says Michael Clapman who handpicks the chefs for Temple Micah, which runs the event. “I think there’s uniqueness to being able to eat a dozen different kinds of latkes.”

On top of the savory and sweet feast (which also includes a kids’ latke competition), Temple Micah invites attendees to bring menorahs for a Hanukkah lighting ceremony led by Rabbi Adam Morris; rounding out the evening will be a concert with local musicians Hal Aqua, David Ross and others.

Temple Micah’s 5th Top Latke Cook-off and Hanukkah Party starts tonight at 5:30 p.m. at Montview Presbyterian Church, 1980 Dahlia Street, and is open to people of all faiths. Tickets are $15 to $65; services and the lighting ceremony are free. RSVP is required via www.micahdenver.org or by calling 303-388-4239.
