“We just wanted to bring out the drinking public, people who actually want to enjoy a drink and watch a movie,” says Wildlife Experience spokesman Greg Masinton. Open Range falls under the series’ “Whiskey and a Western” offshoot, which matches whiskey drinks and homemade barbecue with Westerns. Upcoming installments will also include like-minded beverage pairings: February’s showing of Casablanca, for instance, comes with a specially mixed martini, and patrons of May’s Strange Brew will get a local craft beer sampling.
Movie and a Martini kicks off tonight at 7 p.m. at the Wildlife Experience, 10035 South Peoria Street in Parker. Tickets for the 21+ program are $15 to $25. For more information on the 2013 lineup and to purchase tickets in advance, go to www.thewildlifeexperience.org or call 720-488-3300.
