Led by its signature trio of blue “humanoid” forms, Blue Man Group takes the audience on a journey of emotion and interaction, while a thread of percussion keeps everything running on an infectious rhythm. A live band accompanies the three performers as they dance, play bizarre hand-crafted instruments and manipulate light and sound in a way that has been consistently wowing audiences for more than 25 years. Video screens often present ideas for the three blue men, who do not utter a sound during the entire ninety-minute show. The result could leave you speechless, too.
Blue Man Group opens at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Buell Theatre in the Denver Performing Arts Complex; shows continue through April 21. Tickets are $20 to $100; call 303-893-4100 or go to denvercenter.org.
Tuesdays-Sundays, 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: April 12. Continues through April 21, 2013
