Black Americans are beginning to realize that their American Dream could evaporate before their eyes by full passage of the massive Immigration Reform bill. A new group of independent-thinking black leaders has emerged — industry executives, clergy, educators, politicians and others — to form the Black American Leadership Alliance. The alliance has organized a “DC March for Jobs” at 9:30 a.m. on July 15 at Freedom Plaza off Pennsylvania Avenue. See www.DCMarchforjobs.com. The March to the Capitol is in opposition to the amnesty legislation passed by the Senate. Instead, the alliance demands jobs for the 20 million unemployed/underemployed American citizens. No need to legalize 20 million illegal immigrants and their extended families, and to bring in millions more as permanent guest workers for jobs that just don’t exist. All concerned Americans are invited to join this event.
