By the Light of the Moon

One of Denver's coolest after-dark traditions returns tonight: the InnovAge Moonlight Classic, during which an anticipated 4,000 cyclists will mount up by the light of the moon and ride through Denver's historic neighborhoods and business district. The mellow ten-mile ride — now in its 21st year — gives riders a chance to experience the city in a different kind of glow.

It also raises awareness and money for the InnovAge Foundation, a nonprofit that helps elderly people stay comfortably in their own homes. "Ten thousand people per day turn 65 in the U.S., and that trajectory extends nearly twenty years," says Dan Lawrence, director of development for InnovAge. "We who are vibrant and healthy often take our energetic lifestyles for granted."
