Color Fast

Even if you hate exercise, there’s a definite appeal to the thought of getting doused with a rainbow of color while strolling through the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. The annual Color Me Rad is a 5K race that involves getting showered with a different color at every kilometer.

And, really, what better way to mark your progress? The trail winds through the gardens, and at each metric milestone, contestants will be puffed with colored powder or splashed with colored liquid to prove that they passed the marker. After finishing the race (which can be as competitive or non-competitive as you please), everyone gathers at the finish area for a color bomb to top off the dashing rainbow look.
