Magic Mushrooms

This year’s Eagle Wild Mushroom & Wine Weekend is the sixth edition of the event, but it will mark the first time that wine — and foragable edibles other than mushrooms — are on the menu.

This year, we’re bringing in not only the mushroom aspect, but also wild edibles,” says event director Jen Radueg. “And we’re also bringing in a lot of local chefs and restaurants to really tie the food together. We’re working with local chefs from a variety of different restaurants in and around Eagle and bringing in live music and adding, on a small scale, films and documentaries that revolve around the food industry.”

The food being supplied at the dinners is as fresh and local as can be — and many of those dinners will include specimens foraged by attendees that very day.

The festival begins today and runs through Sunday at the Brush Creek Pavilion and Park in downtown Eagle; a three-day pass is only $160, and single-event tickets are also available. Visit to purchase yours and peruse the event schedule.
