“You can see all the different ways to do the same subject. We have dogs that are really abstract, dogs that are really crazy; I have a dog that’s peeing, lifting his leg up,” says Knoll, laughing. “This is such a dog city, so I just decided to do it a few years ago, since so many people love dogs and art that portrays them.” In addition to seeing art, attendees can also take a new pet home, as MaxFund will be on hand with adoptable dogs.
Gone to the Dogs opens tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at Niza Knoll Gallery, 915 Santa Fe Drive, and will be on display through September 28. Visit nizaknollgallery.com for more information.
