The annual Halloween Boo-lesque Show, which opens during the spooky season at Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret, is one of the venue's most popular shows, for performers and audiences alike. “A lot of people say it’s unlike anything you’ve seen before,” notes Naughty Pierre, the burlesque emcee at Lannie’s, “and because it’s a combination of three or four different disciplines and genres, you’re not going to be bored watching this show.”
Performer Midnite Martini agrees, adding that this is one program that encourages audience participation. “Everyone can wear costumes, and everyone’s ready to have a good time and party,” she notes, “and it’s really fun for the performers, too, because we get a chance to go outside of our normal box. So much of what we do at the Clocktower is classic, cutesy and playful, but with the Halloween show, we can get kind of weird and dark. We still have a cute mummy act and a cute black-cat act, but we also have a girl who’s going to be a zombie: She’ll peel off her clothing, then peel off her skin.”
