Complete with wedding desserts and a cider toast, this ceremony is the real deal, attracting around 75 couples each year. "It is just a fun day out on the mountain with the one you love, and people love the idea of skiing and being together," says Loveland Ski Area's Duncan Maxwell. Brides and grooms are inspired to dress in "ski-wedding" attire for the frosty affair and will have a chance to win a Loveland honeymoon-getaway-weekend prize package.
Couples who preregister for Mountaintop Matrimony are eligible for a $61 pair of two-for-one lift tickets; guests present must buy individual lift tickets for $61, and all participants must be able to ride the lift and ski or snowboard down the mountain. Couples are encouraged to bring their own photographer, and marriage licenses must be attained prior to the celebration. For more information or to preregister, visit skiloveland.com.
