The Arvada Center takes a leap with Unbound
A view of the Arvada Center’s Unbound: Sculpture in the Field.

The Arvada Center sits on a very large site, but until recently, the venue had never used the seventeen-acre field just to the south to showcase art. That changed when exhibitions director Collin Parson, along with assistant curator Kristin Bueb, decided to transform the empty land into a xeric sculpture garden. “It’s an obvious thing to do with the field,” says Michael Paglia in this week's art review, but Parson was the first to pull it off. Unbound: Sculpture in the Field, which was installed with help from Englewood's Museum of Outdoor Arts, includes the work of fifteen artists, most of whom are represented by two pieces. Read more about Paglia's take on Unbound at the Arvada Center in his review, now posted on the Show and Tell blog.
