Region: Central Denver

Rather than throw together a group show featuring work by artists whose work is unconnected, for its current exhibit, Articulated Perspectives, the William Havu Gallery focused on four artists who all do work that is based on representational imagery but also incorporates abstract sensibilities. The show begins with a monumental Marc Berghaus sculpture: a life-sized male nude that has been cast in fiberglass and encased in an elaborate grid of small open boxes. Inside the boxes are tiny mechanized fish “swimming” in circles. The other artists included in the show are Laura Truitt from Fort Collins, Lori Buntin of Kansas City, and Sara Sanderson from Boulder. See Michael Paglia's review of Articulated Perspectives in the Show and Tell blog.
