After almost two months of bringing people together through enormous, body-controlled arcade games on Champa Street in downtown Denver, OhHeckYeah is about to pull the plug. But there’s still one more weekend left, and tonight, PechaKucha Denver and OhHeckYeah will unite to say farewell to the innovative street arcade. “It’s a special-edition PechaKucha that’s all people who helped make OhHeckYeah happen,” says Brian Corrigan, OhHeckYeah’s creative strategist. “It’s almost like the closing credits.”
In classic PechaKucha style, speakers will present twenty slides that auto-advance every twenty seconds for a compact, high-impact presentation that doesn’t allow for even a second of boredom. Everyone from the programmers who made the project work to the ac-tors who brought the characters to life via social media will offer their take — in just six minutes each — on how the unique project was created. “You’re hearing different perspectives on how things like this are put together,” says Martha Weidmann, chief organizer for PechaKucha Denver. “It’s really highlighting a bunch of different groups coming together to pull this off.”
