Podcast people will invade the MCA Denver's Black Sheep Fridays tonight with a discussion of the world of the audio shows. Food for Starving Artists at Converge Denver (Friday, free)

There is such a thing as a free meal at Converge Denver's Fourth Friday event. Eat in the company of other artists and discuss your newest ideas and projects at this dinner party founded to support starving creative types and promote interesting conversation.

Pete & Toshi Get a Camera at the Oriental Theater (Friday, $10)

Banned from performing after being released from jail for choosing not to answer questions in front of the House Un-American Activities Committee, musician and activist Pete Seeger and his wife, Toshi, took up filming home movies of their musician friends. Making its Denver premiere, this film combines that footage with current interviews with the couple; it's a fascinating look at musicians from all over the world.

Fairytales from Around the World at the Aurora Fox Arts Center (Friday-Sunday, $8)

This weekend Aurora Dance Arts will take you all around the globe with a performance that explores international fairy tales. Learn about fantasy stories from other countries at this imaginative dance show in the heart of Aurora.

Cosmic Machine at the Inca House (Friday, free)

3 Blind Dates at the Voodoo Comedy Playhouse (Saturday, $5)

Improv meets speed dating at this Voodoo Comedy Playhouse show. The '80s-themed night lets the audience select the daters for a round of speed dating with three funny ladies. Dress in '80s attire for half-price tickets.

Boulder Pridefest at the Boulder Theatre (Saturday, free)

Now in its tenth year, Boulder Pridefest is back with a giant party filled with drag and aerial performances, community-building and music from God-Des & She. Celebrate the lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer and transgender community in Boulder tonight.

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Party at Crash 45 (Saturday, free)

Switch on the Holidays at the Pearl Street Mall (Sunday, free)

Christmas is only a month away, and downtown Boulder will get in the holiday spirit tonight with a performance by the Boulder Chorale and a countdown by St. Nick himself to the grand illumination of the downtown area. The event is free, and you can visit with the jolly old elf until 7 p.m.

Propaganda! at Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret (Sunday, free)

Matt Monroe's monthly free comedy night has everything you could want: performances by great comedians and free pizza. This month's lineup includes Troy Baxley, Nora Lynch, Brent Gill and Mara Wiles -- and none of those pesky drink minimums that exist at other comedy clubs.
