The winter holidays are over and spring hasn't quite sprung, so what is there to do during this March lull? We've rounded up options ranging from horror flicks to a Morrissey fanatics' meet-up to a fun, smart discussion group -- enough entertainment to tide you over until the weekend partying begins again. And these are all free!Cruel Winter Horror Film Series: The Thing
(Tuesday) No matter what the weather, Crash 45's inventive film series focusing on horror flicks will give you plenty of chills. This showing ofThe Thing
will give viewers a chance to enjoy this parasitic, extraterrestrial-driven horror flick in the comfort of a cozy bar, where you can grab a snack or the evening's J&B on the rocks drink special and settle in for a fright-fast. The show starts around 8 p.m., but those wishing to order food (warning: food and drink are not free) should arrive by 7:30 p.m.
Sunday School for Atheists: Topic Is Forgiveness at Buntport Theater (Thursday) Another fun, social and cerebral event created by Warm Cookies of fhe Revolution, this month's meet-up is all about forgiveness. One and all -- or "Jesus Lovers, Satan Worshipers, Rabbis, Radicals, Hippies, Buddhists, 'Spiritual But Not Religious' and Recovering Catholics!" as specified on the Facebook invite -- are welcome to ponder such questions as why are we here? What is our ultimate allegiance? How do we live a good life? As always, cookies and milk (of the dairy and non-dairy varieties) will be provided. The event is free, but an RSVP is appreciated at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Soul for You: A Night of Morrissey at Beauty Bar (Thursday) Morrissey fans unite: Beauty Bar is opening its doors just for you tonight. DJs Electric CamelToe, Maladjusted and Mike Disco will be spinning the best and gloomiest from the Moz's deep catalogue throughout the evening. This should be a great primer for Morrissey's Colorado concert date -- which has been canceled and rescheduled twice already -- if he actually makes it to the scheduled April 26 stop.
