Black Book Gallery's Knock It Out pays it forward to the Love Hope Strength Foundation
Mr. Brainwash, "Juxtapoze."
Thomas Horne of Black Book Gallery lost his twin brother, Tim, to cancer. But Horne recognizes that he's not alone in his loss. In solidarity with the thousands upon thousands of families, friends and patients whose lives are affected by cancer, he and gallery partner Will Suitts organized Knock It Out, an exhibition of original works by artists from around the globe to benefit the Love Hope Strength Foundation.

The show, with its impressive roster, opens tonight with a reception from 6 to 11 p.m. (as well as special hours tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.); participating artists Doze Green and Sam Flores will be in attendance. Along with music and art, the gallery will host an opportunity to join the Get On the List Campaign bone-marrow database during the reception. Horne and Suitts also hope to contribute $10 from every sale to LHSF's Children's Cancer Center in Tanzania, with a goal of reaching $10,000.
In addition, the artist Bask created Love Hope Strength, a run of 400 limited-edition, four-color 16-by-20-inch prints, specifically for the fundraiser; visit Black Book online to order yours. As with all the artworks, $10 of every purchase will be donated to LHSF, earmarked for Get on the List.
