A lot has happened in the careers of Adam Carolla and Dr. Drew Pinsky since they co-hosted Loveline, MTV’s relationship-related call-in show, in the late ’90s. Carolla went on to host one of the most successful podcasts on the Internet, as well as becoming the new Dennis Miller as a Fox News contributor, while Dr. Drew has become the face of drug- and sex-addiction therapy with his various VH1 and HLN programs, including Celebrity Rehab, which is getting a lot of attention at the moment because of the suicide of singer and former Pinsky client Mindy McCready.
And now the two have reunited with a new podcast, The Adam and Dr. Drew Show, and a Loveline Tour, which comes to Denver tonight.
“Once you start describing things in terms of ‘This is my dream,’ then she is the one standing between you and your dream,” Carolla recently said, giving advice to a caller thinking of leaving his girlfriend for covert military service. “And that’s never a good thing. But because it’s your dream, you have to go, though you’ll probably be miserable and asking for her back in eighteen months.”
