Though his career started with an Internet explosion, Bo Burnham, who appears tonight at the Boulder Theater, quickly found his way to the real-life stage, as a comedian who cleverly uses music as the main source of his show.
The 22-year-old Massachusetts native’s humor-driven songs about everything from girls to ancient history and world affairs caught fire on YouTube while Burnham was still a teen, garnering his bedroom performances millions of views. Soon the comedian’s lyric-like wordplay grabbed the attention of Comedy Central, and Burnham became the youngest performer ever to get his own special for the channel. A multi-album deal and several solo tours followed, proving that Burnham had what it took to hold his own. Now faster and wittier than ever, Burnham is coming to town with “what,” his latest live tour, while simultaneously promoting his new, scripted television series, Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous.
