If you’ve been waiting for the right time to bust out that Ricky Ricardo shirt you picked up at the thrift store, tonight’s the night. The Museo de las Américas is hosting Rojo Celia, a celebration of all things Cuban centering around island salsa legend Celia Cruz.

The party — which includes dinner, drinks, a live auction and live music — is part of an annual fundraising tradition at the Museo. “It’s always ‘rojo’ something,” explains Tessa Harvey, PR and marketing coordinator, noting that the theme doesn’t have to be tied to any-thing in particular. “We just try and think of something fun.” Considering that the night concludes with a salsa show by Manuel Molina and His Orchestra, fun is guaranteed — and guests are encouraged to get dolled up in their Cuban finest.

Go — or you’ll have some ’splainin to do. Rojo Celia starts tonight at 7 p.m. at the St. Cajetan Center on the Auraria campus. Tickets are $150; for more information, visit or call 303-571-4401.
