Q: What does a lesbian bring on the second date?
A: A U-Haul.
If you haven't heard the world's oldest lesbian joke, then you're probably not a lesbian. But you don't have be a lavender lover to lay down the levity at the Dyke Mic, which starts tonight and every Saturday night at 9:30 p.m. at tHERe Coffee Bar & Lounge, 1526 East Colfax Avenue. Hosted by Comedy Works connoisseurs Leah Mansfield and Grant McConaughy, and sponsored by MileHiComedy.com, the Dyke Mic is open to anyone, regardless of gender, orientation or experience.
"Denver's comedy scene is one of the best in the country," says Mansfield. "We're always looking for another chance to open up new scenes."
Mansfield and Donna Ayers headline the show this week, and supporting spots are still available. If you think you've got what it takes to make 'em laugh, call Mansfield at 303-880-2351 or e-mail her at email@example.com.
