Photos: Selections from COLLECT at the Arvada Center
Sandy Lane, Sitting Room, digital photo mounted on aluminum, collection of SpringHill Suites Denver Downtown at Metro State.
What goes in the collection stays in the collection, and that means a plethora of fine artworks often stay behind the scenes, unseen by the general public. The Arvada Center's new exhibit series, COLLECT, brings some of them back out in public, by pulling together work from a variety of personal, corporate and institutional collections. COLLECT opened yesterday and continues daily through the end of March. A quick dip into the exhibition's rich images follows.
Charles Bunnell, Untitled, oil on canvas, collection of Tracy and Sushe Felix.
Sean O'Meallie, Tree of Life, wood and acrylic paint, collection of Moye White LLP.
Wes Magyar, Preserve, oil on canvas, collection of Delta Dental of Colorado.
Kevin O'Connell, Birds #1, photograph (platinum palladium print), collection of Snell & Wilmer LLP.
Chris Brown, Soft Rocks Hard Water, photograph, collection of Exempla St. Joseph's Hospital.
