"Last year, we had an awesome kickoff for our first season, so we hope it will become a tradition to start every season like this: Admission is free, there's going to be unlimited free beer, and it's a chance for us to show off each of the four shows," says Tarquin, who isn't willing to give much more information. "Cult Following -- our movie-moment improv show -- is coming back, but it will have a new twist, and then there will be three other completely new shows involving things like bikes, drag queens and photography."
And she's more than optimistic that you'll love what she and Miller have pulled together: "Season One was so awesome, it's hard to top. So we’ve been brainstorming some crazy ideas, and Charlie and I feel like Season Two will go one step further in terms of the Off-Center vision. We have some new collaborators, and the format feels fluid; they're definite concepts that have been started, but they're also spontaneous in a good way." We'll drink to that.
And so can you: Check out the release party from 8 to 11 p.m. in the Jones, 1101 13th Street. For more information, visit Off-Center online at www.denveroffcenter.org or call 303-893-6090.
