Wild West gear and fancy rodeo togs are the preferred attire at the event, which aims to juxtapose the spirit of the West with a contemporary setting, as if to say, "We're not in Cowtown anymore, Toto...." But that doesn't mean guests won't have fun with the Western connotations. Music by the Hummin'Birds, mechanical bull-riding, rope tricks and Western-style eats are all in the mix, and when RedLine resident and contemporary artist Laura Shill snaps you a $10 keepsake photo, the props will befit a prairie prince or princess.There will also be a silent auction and sale of $100 foot-square donated artworks. And each letter of resident Rebecca Vaughan's one-night light installation spelling out "Art Rodeo" will also be for sale as mementos. It all happens against the backdrop of RedLine's annual resident show, An Invisible Boundary, with a preview of the documentary Hanna Ranch, which officially premieres at the upcoming Starz Denver Film Festival.
