“As comedians, we all work squeaky-clean shows during the holidays,” says Roy. “People at a company holiday party rarely want to hear about really dirty comedy. So the owner of Comedy Works, Wende Curtis, invented this idea of me hosting and producing a really dirty holiday show so we can blow off steam. The cast of the dirty Christmas show is the best of the Comedy Works local roster: Ben Roy, Hippieman, Andrew Orvedahl, Stephanie McHugh, Troy Walker. Some of these comics are real filthy, like Ben Roy.”
The shows have sold out the last two years, so tickets are in high demand — though Roy mentions that there are the inevitable walk-outs of offended guests, whose seats quickly go to those waiting to get in.
