Jerry Seinfeld doesnt have to appear in concert tonight. Thanks to ubiquitous reruns of his signature sitcom, not to mention dough from DVD sales and that bee-movie thing, hes got more than enough money already. Enough to retire a thousand times. Enough to purchase every sock in the world and lose them all on purpose. Enough to hire an audience to follow him around 24/7 and guffaw at everything he says, even if its not funny. Especially if its not funny. Hell, hell make several hundred dollars in the time it takes you to read this sentence. Yet he continues to travel around the country telling jokes to strangers and thats one reason why so many people love him to this day. Astonishingly wealthy or not, he still needs us.
