A team of barbarians accompanied by vixens in blueberry-colored babushkas and wrapped in animal skins, riding bicycles across the city in search of lost treasures with just a manifest to guide them: Its something youre likely to see at Dethride, a Halloween bicycle scavenger hunt sponsored by MsHurricane and One 26 Productions. To participate, youll need a team of three to five people, bikes, locks, bags and a camera.
Dethride is the brainchild of event organizer Jen Nordhem. Its not just about speed, but teamwork and ingenuity, she says. Each object you find and task you complete will garner you points that get tallied up at the end of the night for some kick-ass prizes. These include a years supply of Pablos coffee, bar tabs, T-shirts and more. Awards for the best costumes will be given out as well, with winners taking home donated artwork from one of four artists.
