Dewey Paul Moffitt is somewhat of a tribute giver extraordinaire. The co-owner of the Oriental Theater, 4335 West 44th Avenue, Moffitt has paid homage to Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits and the Band. But last year's Bob Dylan tribute, Dylan65 (dubbed so because it was held on Dylan's 65th birthday), drew by far the biggest crowd. "Bob's crossovers reach every genre of music. He is the best to interpret in your own way," Moffitt says. Last year's monumental response motivated Moffitt to do it again — but this time, even bigger.

Tonight, join almost fifty musicians — including members of Leftover Salmon, the Railbenders, Angie Stevens and Melvin Seals, the former keyboardist for the Jerry Garcia Band — for Dylan66, a tribute to Dylan on his 66th birthday.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, with proceeds going toward music programs in Denver Public Schools. Purchase tickets at the theater, or at www.theorientaltheater.com or 303 455 2124.
