Womenswear never takes a day off -- because stylish, modern women are always on the go. This week we spotted a graphic look sported by budding cosmetologist Chloe Jarisch. With her multi-colored hair and Andy Warhol-printed bag, it's clear that Chloe understands color theory well. Continue reading to learn her favorite accessory, where she shops and her style mantra.
Name: Chloe Jarisch.
Spotted at: 16th and California streets.
Profession: I'm a cosmetology student at Emily Griffith right now. I studied fashion for two years in high school when I went to the Career Education Center.
Favorite film: Although I love anything by Wes Anderson, I love The Mothman Prophesies because I'm really into psychological horror.
2014 jam: "Bad Girls," by M.I.A.
Style inspirations/icons:I love Karen O from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs; she's always been one of my heroes and I get a bunch of inspiration and motivation from her. Alexander McQueen is great. I'm into the '80s post-punk, new-wave era because that's what my mom raised me on.
Favorite accessory: Big gold earrings. I never wore many accessories but I am getting into earrings lately.
Favorite color: Well, my middle name is Azul, which is blue in Spanish. I love pink although it's really not a color all its own, technically.
Style mantra: Be a bad bitch.
Shops at: My mom manages Act 2 Consignment on East Colfax and I work at a different thrift store, so I grab a bunch of stuff at those places. H&M and Forever 21 are good for basics, but I mostly thrift.
This is one of three Andy Warhol-print bags that Jarisch owns. The one we spotted her with features the pope of pop art himself; Jarisch also has a Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Warhol tote bag in her collection.
Jarisch's red leather boots make Warhol's paint-splattered boots come to mind. "Denver has some wacky trends to it, but everyone does their own thing and I think that's cool," she says. "Everyone should just do their own thing."
Style analysis: Jarisch executes a vivid color-blocking ensemble with lively details. Her mustard sweater and maroon velvet leggings look great with her red boots. Her hair is dyed shades of green and purple, which highlights her profession. The gold earrings and black bandanna add a bit of street flair, while the pop-art bag brings the entire outfit together. Jarisch lives a life full of animated color and she's not afraid to be eccentric, bringing disparate elements together to form her own fashion.
