At many Korean restaurants, the food seems like an endless repetition of grilled beef, rice, onions and the occasional egg. But at Han Kang, that's just where the food begins. The best dishes on this menu are those that are nearly unpronounceable -- deeply flavored soups, spicy seafoods, mounds of bright vegetables and proteins tossed together in endless combinations. And then there's the procession of sides that comes with every meal, the most recognizable of which is kimchee (identifiable by smell at ten paces when done correctly). But at Han Kang, every side is delicious and functional as salad, garnish, flavor enhancer and appetizer all at once. This kitchen will give you a new appreciation for Korean food.

Real Korean

I've been to Han Kang few times and saw that they were chosen by Westword in the past. I honestly don't understand why though... their food is decent, but it's not good enough that would make me want to go back. If you want some good Korean dishes (no garbi or bbq), try E-ga on other side of H-Mart building, facing LD Buffet. Their food is affordable and DELICIOUS! And I actually like their servers - they are Korean, yet nice! =)

My family and I just celebrated our Mother's 62nd birthday at Han Kang restaurant and I was very much impressed with the quality of service, but mostly the excellent Korean food served there! The garbi ribs will excellent and the kimchi and side dishes were crisp and seasoned just right. The soups were authentic and hot! I LOVE IT AND GIVE IT A TOP RATING! J.C.

I'm Korean and I think their food is pretty good. I think its one of the better Korean restaurants here in Colorado. There service is pretty good to, but then again I know the owner through my parents. Most other Korean restaurants have HORRIBLE service, but I recommend this restaurant.

I'm white and know this place is terrible. The very start of the review ("at many Korean restaurants....") shows that the reviewer knows nothing about how dramatic Korean cuisine can be. Too bad for him/her, andtoo bad for Denver.

Hey, I'm half korean, so I know what good korean food is partly. Did you go into the BBQ part of the restaurant where they have charcoal? I would say that it's not even the same restaurant (much better) than the non-bbq side.

I am a Korean American, who think I know a few things about Korean food. And I strongly advise against going to this restaurant because I am just simply embarrassed by the food served at Han Kang. Although, there isn't a decent Korean restaurants in Colorado, this one is one of the worst.
