On the best nights at the original Brix, it's hard to tell who's an employee, who's a customer and who's a friend. Everyone just seems to wander around carrying drinks and plates, jumping from table to table doing shots and carrying on conversations about everything under the sun. Though located in Cherry Creek, Brix is about as anti-Creek as you can get, drawing a young, hip, moneyed group of weirdos, bar-hoppers and night creatures: A small-time weed dealer, a chef on the prowl or a recently paroled arsonist would get more action here than a high-powered attorney or black-jacket politico. The food is good, the drinks are strong, the vibe is cool -- but we come for the crowds, because you never know who's going to hit the Brix.

Brix is terrible, the service, staff and food. They know nothing about customer service. Mostly populated by rich nobody DU grads.

Word to the wise: if someone tells you they are a "regular" at brix or friends with the owner and it's staff, then they are either one or both: a pathetic drunk, or a cocaine junkie. Or perhaps this is typical of the restaurant industry...?

I went to Brix one night with my wife and she went to the restroom and came back to the table to tell me she walked into an unlocked stall to find 2 young girls and a guy snorting coke. Both our dinners were overcooked and bland. When we were about to leave, she pointed out the bathroom guy who turned out to be a waiter. Definitely avoiding this place and have told everyone I know to do the same!

I have been to Brix twice (and will never go back) and can agree with all the comments above. The food is mediocre at best, and the lack of conscious in the bar staff over-serving drinks to people who are already heavily intoxicated was horrifying to me. The second time I was there, our male server was obviously wasted. He was rude and undoubtedly confused, so we left just after ordering. I recently heard through the grapevine some very sordid tales of narcotics abuse by the staff and owners. Based on my experiences, I am not at all surprised.

Brix is not only everything "John" described in his comments, but in addition 90% of Brix employees are so "wired" (if ya know what I mean) that their vibe alone will easily send you running for the door and to the nearest rehab facility.
