I had a horrible experience with Fittings by Fana. I took my wedding dress to her in January for my June wedding. Fana refused to start my alternations sooner then April. On my first fitting she cut the dress to short altering the hem. Then for my next two fittings I was canceled because Fana went back to her home country for a family emergency. I tried to understand but it came down to two weeks before I needed my dress picked up to get it to the cleaners, as well as I was having a destination wedding and we were leaving in 30 days and I still had not been seen again. One of her seamstress took over my dress alterations and continued to ruin my wedding dress. My very small B chest fell out the sides of my dress because they made the top to small and refused to let it out since it was so much work to get done. My dress started a size 6 and when they were complete the dress barely zipped on me when I'm about 2-4 in size. The zipper seam in the back was crocked and they cut the straps to short so had to replace my straps with different ones. Two weeks later then I expected I picked up my dress to still be very unhappy with it as I had huge wrinkles across my butt where they could not get the lace to lay right. As well as it was so tight I could not sit in my dress. But to top it all off the dress had lace from the top to the hip area and when I took the dress to the dry cleaners they said that some parts of the dress across the butt the had lace was glued to the dress so if they were to clean the dress it would be ruined.
I had a second opinion on the dress by another Alterations company and they agreed my lace had been glued on and highly recommend me buying a new one as there were to many mistakes to fix with my dress. So 2 weeks before I am suppose to leave to Hawaii for my wedding I had to go buy a new Wedding dress. Not to mention this whole time they were only open between 2-4 pm M-F and refused to work on my schedule. There customer service sucked and they never seemed to care that I was unhappy with my wedding dress. Every time I had a fitting the lady would explain to me how she could not finish my dress because they were just so busy but every time I was in there they were seeing new customers as well. They charged me $425 to alter my dress and when I said I was not happy to pay since my dress was ruined they said they can not alter price since Fana had gone back to her home country.
I did pay for my alterations but will be taking them to small claims.
