Grab your skis, silly costumes and thinking caps, because the New Belgium Loveland Scavenger Hunt presents the perfect opportunity to have fun for a great cause. When you can get people dressed up in costume and acting silly and letting go of anything that usually holds them back, it turns into a really, really interesting time, says Bryan Simpson of New Belgium Brewery. Were always looking for ways to do more than the traditional promotion.

Like this untraditional scavenger hunt at the Loveland ski area, for example, in which contestants both individual and team -- will hunt for clues from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants are given clues to the next step, says Simpson. At certain points, people may be asked to don a costume and become part of the event. Over the course of the day, that could involve anything from becoming Bigfoot or a crazy chicken to donning prom dresses and wild wigs. Contestants with the most points at the end of the day will receive prizes at the 3 p.m. after-party.
Loveland is located off I-70 at exit 216. Admission is a $35 lift pass plus a $10 participant fee that gets you a special New Belgium pint glass; proceeds benefit the Alliance for Sustainable Colorado. For more information, call 970-221-0524 or go to www.newbelgium.com/hunt.
