I am an admittedly biased source when it comes to Project Angel Heart. Every other Saturday, I spend a few hours delivering the organization’s meals to locals living with life-threatening illnesses. So I’ve seen with my own eyes how Project Angel Heart affects people’s lives for the better. I’ve received heartfelt thanks from the people Project Angel Heart helps. And I’ve also received the satisfaction of being one small link in a chain that gives Project Angel Heart clients an enormous gift: the gift of nutrition and a tummy full of great food, plus the gift of the energy it would have taken them to shop for and cook that food themselves.

Clearly, I think Project Angel Heart does great things, and I’m happy to give them some of my time. You can do the same tonight — only instead of driving, you can dance. The Dance for Life charity event, presented by aXess Entertainment Group, kicks off at 7 p.m. on the club level of Invesco Field, 1701 Bryant Street. Suite 700. Park in the southern lots and enter through Gate 7, where you’ll find a silent auction featuring fantastic artwork (if you arrive early), DJ Brian Howe spinning tunes, ice sculptures by Intricate Ice, go-go dance troupe the Vixens and more. General admission tickets are $20; VIP tickets are $50. Visit www.projectangelheart.org for information.
