But thanks to fellow worrier and block organizer Robin Lohre of the Talulah Jones boutique, 1122 East 17th Avenue, you can now contribute in a small but certain way on the local level during tonights Shop and Eat on 17th Avenue event.
Brought to you by Lohre and a bunch of like-minded businesses along the avenue in the Uptown district beginning at 5 p.m., Talulah and friends including Babylon Floral, Peppermint, Soul Haus, Strings, Olivea and Hamburger Mary's will throw in a percentage of the evenings sales and tickets to benefit the National Wildlife Federation; in addition, Baer-Simon Photography will host a photo booth. Stop by Talulahs to shop through 8 p.m.; other venues, and especially the restaurants, will continue fundraising until individual closing times.
