Embark on a magical mystery tour of the tumultuous 60s through the music of the Beatles in When We Were FaB, a unique opportunity to see beloved songs -- from the early innocence of I Want to Hold Your Hand through the complex, heady tunes of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band and beyond -- performed on stage.
We wanted to create live music that they created for their records but was never intended to be performed live, says the shows co-creator, Ken Weiss. We wanted to create the magic of seeing them live and the magic of the music, which is the soundtrack to so many peoples lives.
FaB combines musical re-creations of the Beatles most recognizable hits with newsreel footage to paint a portrait of one of the most important eras in modern history. When we look at the Beatles on stage through their whole career, we can really see how the progression of that era was so profound for us and the music is the soundtrack, Weiss explains. In the same way, you could have somebody up there just narrating a history of the 1960s, but its much more entertaining and much more visceral to do it through the music.
