Dont you just love a win-win situation? Everything about the BordoBello Skateboard Project screams perfection: The AIGA Colorado benefit for Youth Design Denver and Access Gallery, organizations that pair high-school students with professional mentors in graphic design, embraces youth culture by offering up artist-designed skateboard decks for bidding. People affiliate skateboarding with design and art, and we have a great design community in Denver, notes AIGA spokeswoman Gillian Grefé. That community, she adds, will be well represented at the BordoBello silent auction, tonight at 6 p.m. at Andenken Gallery, 2990 Larimer Street: We have boards by more than 200 artists, and there are others on a waiting list.
