You may have heard that Boulder, at least according to Bon Appétit magazine, is 2010fs Foodiest Town in the country, and from now until November 20, you can taste why -- for a bargain. The fifth annual First Bite Boulder, a culinary orgy for dollar-deprived gastronauts, trumpets more than forty Boulder County restaurants, all of which offer multi-course, prix fixe dinners for $26 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

Boulder has been getting a lot of national attention for its great restaurant scene, and First Bite Boulder gives people a fantastic opportunity to experience those restaurants at prices that everyone can afford, says Kate Lacroix, co-founder of First Bite Boulder. And whats really awesome about this year is that a lot of restaurants outside of Boulder proper are participating, which gives diners a lot more options further afield.
Participating food temples, including Brasserie Ten Ten, Mateo, Salt, Terroir, Colterra Food & Wine, the Empire, the Kitchen and Zolo Grill, are filling up fast, and reservations are at a premium, so start dialing digits.
